Bend Police are investigating a suspicious death after a woman was found lying in a street with several injuries.
At approximately 6:36 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, Bend Police responded to reports of a woman lying in the street on NE Second Street near DeKalb Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 51-year-old woman with multiple injuries in the road. Witnesses reported that the woman, later identified as Jeri Lynn Davies, frequented the area. She was transported to St. Charles Bend, where around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, she died.
Bend Police are investigating Davies’ death as suspicious.
The area of NE Second Street between DeKalb and Emerson avenues was closed for several hours this morning and has since reopened.
