Winter Weather Advisory Through Tuesday

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12th with snow snow accumulations of one to two feet above 4000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph, mainly on the higher exposed ridges of the east slopes of the Oregon Cascades.

There will be a lull in the snow Monday morning before additional snow develops Monday afternoon. However, little daytime snow accumulation is expected except at the higher elevations.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Lower snow total of half an inch to 2 inches are forecast from 4000 to 4500 feet along the US-97 corridor between Bend and La Pine this afternoon through Tuesday morning.
