‘Think Wild’ Hosts Gift Wrapping Fundraiser

think_wild932392

Think Wild, Central Oregon’s wildlife hospital and conservation center, is hosting a holiday gift wrapping fundraiser at Wild Birds Unlimited on Saturday, December 16, from 10 am to 2 pm.

Bring unwrapped items to the Think Wild booth outside of Wild Birds Unlimited at 2680 NE Hwy 20 in Bend, where staff and volunteers will use recycled and eco-friendly wrapping materials to adorn your gifts! Enjoy a hot apple cider, and learn about Think Wild activities while you wait. Donations to the wildlife conservation nonprofit are encouraged.

Think Wild would like to encourage Central Oregonians to consider using recycled and plastic-free holiday decorations and wrapping materials each year! Reused grocery bags, newspaper, maps, and cloth scraps make sustainable, unique wrapping paper, and trimmed lower boughs of evergreen trees make for festive additions. Brown craft paper can easily be personalized with stamps, paint, or markers, and it is recyclable after use. Twine, cloth ribbons, and natural string and yarn are more eco-friendly than plastic ribbon, and can often be reused for years to come. Tins, jars, boxes, and gift bags can also be reused and repurposed.

Think Wild also has a variety of unique, wildlife-themed holiday gifts available for purchase including enclosure sponsorships, nest boxes, wildlife release certificates, and other meaningful gifts for wildlife enthusiasts. You can support Think Wild’s mission of wildlife education, conservation, and rehabilitation with your purchase.
