Pints For Polio in Bend

pints_polio438574
The Pints for Polio Pub Walk is back, this Saturday, October 21st, from 1 – 4pm. Polio is a horrible disease that paralyzes children. The Rotary Club of Greater Bend has helped reduce this disease by over 99%, but we need your help to finish the job.
Pints for Polio is a highly successful “pub crawl” event that is held annually in downtown Bend as a fun and creative way for people to enjoy a variety of craft beers while helping in the international fight against polio. The brainstorm of Club member (and polio survivor), Cort Vaughan, the event blends one of the region’s favorite pastimes with an awareness campaign about this important issue that has afflicted millions around the globe.
Pints for Polio is a fun pub walk in Bend. Participants receive a commemorative End polio Now cup and a map to participating pubs, which will pour the registrants a 6 ounce taste of delicious craft beer. There are over a dozen pubs participating. More than $200,000 raised since the first event in 2012.
Save $5 by registering online at pintsforpolio.org. Walk-ins welcome on the day of the event at Deschutes Brewery and Public House.
