Redmond fire investigators are trying to find the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a southwest Redmond restaurant. According to Redmond Fire & Rescue, At approximately 4:30am on July 5, 2023, crews were alerted to a possible structure fire at 807 SW 14th St, Jody’s Drive Inn. Upon arrival of the first fire crews, there was heavy fire visible through the roof of the building. Firefighters pulled hose lines and made a quick attack on the fire. Roadways in the area were temporality shutdown while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire. A search of the building revealed that no one was inside at the time of the fire. The fire caused heavy damage to the inside of the building.
Fire investigators were on scene Wednesday conducting interviews and processing the fire scene. The fire is still under investigation. Thank you to Redmond Police and ODOT for their assistance.
