Redmond Police identified the victim of last week’s hit and run, 61 year old Johnny R. Phillips. On June 8, 2023, at approximately 10:52 PM, 911 received a call of a hit and run motor vehicle crash that had occurred on the southbound side of Highway 97 near NW Larch Ave in Redmond. The crash involved a motorcycle and an unknown vehicle.
Officers from the Redmond Police Department located Phillips and provided first aid prior to him being transported to the hospital by Redmond Fire & Rescue. He later died due to the injuries sustained from the crash.
RPD is asking for assistance from the community by providing any information that could be useful to the investigation.
The initial investigation has tentatively identified the suspect vehicle as a late model Dodge Ram pickup.
