La Pine Lions food truck was the first to arrive to provide food to displaced residents, supporters and fire fighters during the Darlene fire in 2021. That truck needs updated electrical and fire safety systems. La Pine Lions need five sponsorship partners for their upcoming Spring Silent Auction and Dinner April 22 to raise funds for this upgrade. Contact Ahsha Marie at 760-330-1503 or Julia Farman at 53-544-6288 for details or stop by the Chamber of Commerce and pick up a form. Deadline is March 1.
“Our catering truck is a standard – and very popular — feature at local events. The updated electrical will help ensure that we don’t burn out the breaker and our brand-new generator — and can continue to provide fresh-to-order food, and, while the La Pine Lions is currently relying on its OSHA- and county-approved fire extinguisher, a professionally installed and county-inspected fire suppression system will be required of all food trucks in order to be licensed in the future.” Ahsha Marie Co Chair La Pine Lions Concessions Committee commented in her interview with Andrea Hine.
We are excited to serve our community safely and be the first to set up in the need of any disaster in 2023 and feel grateful we were not called on in 2022!
