Two busy Bend intersections are closed for construction:
- Wilson Avenue and 15th Street Intersection Closure – February 20 to late April 2023 – Beginning Monday, February 20, 2023, the Wilson Avenue and 15th Street intersection will be fully closed for construction of a new roundabout. The construction of the 15th Street roundabout is expected to be completed by the end of April 2023, weather permitting.This is Phase Two of the Wilson Avenue Corridor Project that will modernize and improve safety and east-west connectivity for all users along Wilson Avenue from Second Street to 15th Street. - Neff Road and Purcell Boulevard Intersection Closure – February 22 to mid-summer 2023 – The Neff Road and Purcell Boulevard intersection, near St. Charles Bend hospital campus, will be closed for reconstruction starting February 22. The closure is anticipated to last through mid-summer 2023.
The Neff Road and Purcell Boulevard Improvements Project is a high priority project providing north-south connectivity and improving safety and capacity in a vital area of Bend. Learn more project information and sign up for project updates at bendoregon.gov/neff-purcell
Ongoing Closures:
- Ferguson Road Eastbound Lane is Closed – The eastbound lane of Ferguson Road is closed for Ferguson Sewer Improvement Project construction. Follow signed detour route. The westbound travel lane remains open. Local access to streets off Ferguson Road, except Ridgewater Loop, must be accessed from the westbound direction. - Newport Corridor Improvements Project – Various closures will be in place along Newport Avenue to due to removal and replacement of underground utilities. Road closures related to the project are listed below:
- Full closure of the NW 14th Street roundabout, 1/9/2023 – May 2023
- NW Newport Avenue east of NW 14th Street through NW Juniper Street, 1/9/2023 – May 2023
- NW 14th Street Between NW Ogden Avenue and NW Milwaukee Avenue, 1/9/2023 – May 2023
- NW 15th Street between NW Milwaukee and NW Newport Avenue, 1/5/2023 – May 2023
Please use the signed detour route that includes College Way, NW Portland Avenue and NW Ninth Street for all through traffic. NW Milwaukee Avenue between NW 15th and NW 12th streets will be limited to one-way eastbound traffic and is intended for local access only. Business access remains open.
This is the final segment of stormwater, water, sewer and transportation improvements to provide reliability, safety and connectivity enhancements for all users.
